MG Midget Challenge

The championship for MG Midgets and AH Sprites in the UK

Sponsored for 2011 by Robin Lackford Motor Engineering

35 years of hard-fought, fun and friendly racing!

The MG Midget Challenge is a national race series for MG Midgets and Austin Healey Sprites (built 1956-1979). The championship is run at all major UK circuits, with the occasional visit to Spa-Froncorchamps in Belgium. It is a serious, professional but very friendly championship and has been running since 1977.

I cut my teeth in Midgets and the Challenge is a fantastic grounding. You get such good feedback from that chassis, if you can get a Midget round the track quickly you can drive anything. For me its great the series has stood the test of time- long may it continue.....
