Silverstone, Cadwell Photos and Race Reports8th August 2007
After a little holiday spell in Greece, I have now put on (slightly slower than usual due to being on holiday) the photos from Silverstone and Cadwell Park, as well as the race results from Cadwell Park. Remember that if you like the photos on the site then Martin Price can do a photo set for your car for a small fee. See the discussion forum for more details.
Silverstone results online28th June 2007
The results for the Silverstone race are now on the site for you to peruse at your leisure. Race report and photos to come very soon.
Lydden photos and race reports online20th June 2007
The race reports from all the rounds so far: round 1 at Pembrey; round 2 at Pembrey; round 3 at Lydden; round 4 at Lydden are now all on the site. Also photos from Lydden also in the gallery. Thank you very much for the Price family for providing wording and photos for all the races so far.
Pembrey photos to peruse14th June 2007
Now don't say we don't spoil you on this site as Martin Price has sent over his whole photo album from the first two races at Pembrey. With near 500 seperate photos if you were at Pembrey you should on average have 20 photos of your car. The little migicons will be updated against the new photos when Le Mans 24 heures has finished.
Lydden results online10th June 2007
The results from rounds 3 and rounds 4 from Lydden are now on the site. Sorry for the delay in getting these up but have been away for a week. Hopefully I will get a CD through soon with the pictures and race reports to put up shortly.
First two round results14th May 2007
The race results for the first race at Pembrey on the 12th May, and the second race the day after at Pembrey are now on the site. If you have a car-icon that is grayed out then please email me a picture of the side of your car and I will put a small graphic next to your name of your actual car.
Entry Forms on the site29th April 2007
The entry forms for the first two races of the season are on the site to download and send to the organisers, so no excuse now not to get it printed and entered. There is still places and time left to enter the first race of the season at Pembrey.
2007 Calendar Online12th February 2007
The provisional calendar for the 2007 season is now available, with some noticeable changes from previous years. Two venues that the Midget crowd haven't visited for a very long time, if at all, with Pembrey and Lydden being added to the calendar. This year though there is no Donington Park and Brands Hatch, but two visits to the International circuit at Silverstone.
Final 2006 Championship Results30th October 2006
The final standings of the 2006 Actman Eyeware MG Midget Challenge Championship are now on the website. Check out the final championship points. Congratulations to Dominic Mooney clinching the overall title on countback along with the Class C Championship, it was a very close thing with the Class B Champion Mark Turner. Also congratulations to Ed Reeve who won the Class A Championship.
Race Results for Mallory Park30th October 2006
The final race of the season has run and now the Mallory Park results are up on the website. Sorry for the delay but I was busy moving to a new house and its taken time to unpack the computer. Congratulations to all who made it through a very wet race unscathed on some very little treaded tyres. It also makes this years racing the wettest season I have ever seen in the years I have known the championship so at least those on slicks have saved some money.
Race results for Castle Combe18th September 2006
The results for the penultimate race of the season at Castle Combe are now available. Plus the ever important championship points have been updated (so i expect another barrage of emails saying that I have it wrong, but until I hear otherwise from Larry I will continue with my premise that every driver racing is eligible for points).
New race photos and 2006 championship points!3rd September 2006
The Photos for the Brands Hatch meeting in August and the second visit to the Oulton Park meeting are now on the website. Apologies for the lateness but as you can see from the photos well worth the wait with the sparks flying in the Brands Hatch pictures and a lot of close ups of the cars under heavy cornering.

Also the latest championship points have been put on the website. This has been created using the championship points worked out by the race results on the website, so if anyone has a copy of Larry's championship points then please email them to the website admin. Also the championship points have been worked out on the assumption that all drivers competing are eligible for the championship unless their is confirmation from Larry on this, so please be patient if you feel you should have more points than currently shown.
Race results for 2nd Mallory Park29th August 2006
The results for the second visit to the friendly race circuit in the midlands at Mallory Park are now available. Also congratulations to Dominic who has become the second person to beat a lap record this year with his dominant drive in class C.
Brands Results and Oulton Park Race Report!16th August 2006
It seems that the racing this year has to be in either equator-like heat or torrential down pours. In the last three years looking at the results from past seasons there was a total of 2 races that took place in the rain (anyone remember the storms at Donington in 2003 and the light rain at Castle Combe in 2005). This year we have been treated to 4 wet races out of a total of 7, so at least those slicks are keeping new for the Class A and B boys.

Anyway, enough on the weather changes for this seasons weather and not a single moan about the hosepipe ban though all it does is rain when we race. The results for Brands Hatch are now on the website and another excellent race report from Oulton Park by Martin Price is now available to read for those that weren't there to witness the oil fun.

At as always if anyone has any photos from these last two events that they want to put on the website then send an email to the website admin team and we will put them up.
Race results for 2nd Oulton Park31st July 2006
The results for what looks like a very eventful race at Oulton Park are now available on the website. Unfortunately the MST timing results do not have the lap times of those that didn't finish so apologies for anyone who got the fastest lap but didn't have it on the final results sheet. Hopefully the race report from our very good and roving reporter Martin Price will shed some light on what happened up in the North West for those that couldn't make it.

As we are now halfway through the season the lap records have been updated with only the setting of 4 new lap records this year. 3 of them for the new addition of the Oulton Park Island circuit onto our racing calendar which had no previous records in the 30 years of MG Midget racing. Also a congratulations to William Smallridge who so far this season is the only person to beat an existing record with his superb speed at Silverstone.
All Entry Forms now available!26th July 2006
The Entry Forms for the Brands Hatch meeting in August and the Mallory Park meeting in October are now on the website. The Brands Hatch race has been confirmed by 750MC as on the Saturday 12th August.

Big thank you to Charles Marriott for getting these entry forms to the website team.

After a nice summer break for the website team we are now back and have put the new race reports on the site for both the International Silverstone Weekend and also the very hot race at Mallory Park. Through the season we have been getting the odd miscellaneous photo linked to the racing so we have added a new photo section in the 2006 Photos of any miscellaneous shots taken throughout the year. If anyone has any amusing, cute (ummm.. we are racing drivers!!), or interesting photos from the season then send an email to the website admin team and we will put them up in this new area.

Snetterton Results23rd May 2006
The Snetterton race results are now available online.

Another dry qualifying session followed by a very wet race. The race was split into two by a red flag incident which meant the second race counted for everything, and unfortunately the full grid didn't make the new start.

The photos and full race report will be on the site soon, in the meantime if anyone has any photos or videos then please send them website admin.
Donington Photos and Race Report!16th May 2006
There are now photos from Donington on the site along with a race report kindly written for the website by Martin Price, along with the driver comments from the day. If anyone else wishes to add some photos, videos or more driver comments from Donington then please email the website admin.
Donington Results9th May 2006
The Donington Park race results are now available online.

It was a sunny qualifying which went well with a few small hiccups, mainly oil being left on apexes, but no major problems causing retirements for the race. The race was made a little trickier by a heavy downpour in the middle of the day which resulted in a drying track by the time the midgets boys got out to play. Full race report to come shortly!

All those that have pictures that they would like put on the website then email them to the website admin and they will put them up, in the meantime a picture of the ever frantic work at all times on a race day of the Collinson's.

Though does look more like a lot of looking than work!
First Race of the 2006 Season!3rd May 2006
We have 24 confirmed entries for the first grid of the year at Donington Park. Weather doesn't look too good at the moment but with some will power we could get some sun (Unless some of you are looking forward to rain!)

Some notable class changes for some of the old boys with reigning champion William Smallridge moving up to class A, and 2004 champion Peter Dignan moving to class B along with a step up from class C of John Collinson. Also a welcome return for the very quick JP Ivey in class A joining some of the more familiar faces in that class.

The grid is made up of seven class A cars and seven class C cars, with the popular class looking like class B with a total of 10 entries.

Good luck to everyone in the first race of the season!
Race Entry Forms available5th April 2006
The MG Midget Challenge has now linked up with BRSCC and MGCC to allow downloading of the race entry forms through the website. The entry forms can be found on the Regulations & Forms section of the website and also the MGCC now excepts online applications for most of its races.

Those who are scared of forms or have terrible handwriting can use the links found on the 2006 Race Calendar for the online entry forms.

Hopefully this will give you a one stop point for all the entry forms required for this seasons racing.
Historic Motorsport Show Report27th February 2006
The stand at the Historic Motorsport Show worked really well. There was lots of interest and several really serious enquiries.

One on Friday returned on Saturday and took away a registration form. A couple of others are hill climbing but after a chat went away to seriously consider circuit racing. There were two very strong enquiries for cars so passed on a few phone numbers!

The stand was in a much better hall this year and it was actually nice and warm. We were also next to Oxford University Motor Club and they had several attractive (female) students to keep us entertained!

Lots of ex- midget racers stopped to say Hello and I am sure it raised our profile nicely.

Big Thank you to everyone who came to help, we can now look forward to this year!
Historic Motorsport Show11th January 2006
Delighted to tell you we will again have a stand at the show which runs from February 24th to 26th at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry, thanks to the support of Peter May, Shaun Rainford and Andrew Actman.

Looking for help in manning the stand over the three days!
Please email Gil Duffy if you can help!.
