We had a terrific days racing at Mallory and it was good to see so many faces from the past turning up to see the race. This included our first rolling start at a ‘proper’ race circuit (I don’t count Rockingham or Spa) Drivers at the back of the grid want the ‘mid-field’ to not spread out so much next time but, apart from that all agreed it was a great success. Qualifying and race were completed in beautiful weather and, apart from Martin Morris (who’s oil switch blew off), everyone enjoyed the racing.
Paul Sibley completed his winning season in Group A, Graham Adams made clear his intentions for next season by taking second in has immaculate upgraded GP B car. Mark Turner took Group B honours, and the Krissy Duffy Trophy, Dominic Mooney set fastest lap in the race but could only manage second place. Meanwhile while David Pymm won Group C from Gary Puxty who’s joining us next year.
